We get all sorts of questions in a typical sales week. While we work on adding an FAQ page to our website, we figured we’d answer a few of them here! This blog is your key to West Michigan Food Equipment's most-asked questions.
What do you do?
We carry new and used restaurant equipment for sale, including thoroughly cleaned, refurbished, and rebuilt Hobart mixers. We also offer design services, walk-in coolers, health department inspection assistance, and project coordination for kitchens in restaurants, churches, food trucks, and more.
What new equipment do you have in stock?
It varies a bit according to demand, but we stock a few items more commonly than others; fryers, stainless steel worktables and equipment stands, shelving, gas hoses/connector kits, and faucets are almost always in stock. If we don’t have the piece you’re looking for on hand, we can normally get it within 24-72 hours!
What payment options do you accept?
We accept cash, card, PayPal, Apple Pay/Google Pay, and checks. For credit cards, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Do you sell smallwares?
We do not have the warehouse space to stock very many smallwares, so we only keep a select few items on hand. See below for the full list.

Do you sell residential kitchen equipment?
No, we do not. Some items may be used in a residential setting just fine, but we don’t carry anything exclusively made for home kitchens.
Do you service used equipment?
Only if it was sold by us. Our service department doesn’t have capacity to offer support for outside service calls, but we can recommend other options in the area. If you have an issue with a piece of equipment you bought from us a while ago, we reserve the right to charge a service/repair fee if necessary.
Do you sell parts?
No, we do not sell parts. Check out PartsTown instead!
Do you offer financing?
Yes! We work with a few third party options that offer financing for equipment purchases. Call us or stop in the office for more details.
Where do you ship to?
All 50 states, even Alaska and Hawaii.
Can I pick up an order in person?
Sure! You’re more than welcome to visit our office to pick up your order. Our address is 436 100th Ave, Zeeland, MI 49464.
What are your shipping requirements?
We only deliver to commercial addresses. For logistical reasons, we will not deliver to residential locations/homes. If you're local and looking to purchase a piece of equipment for a residential area, you may pick up your order in person. We'll even help you load it up!
Do you offer warranties?
All new equipment comes with the manufacturer-specified warranty. You may purchase an extended warranty through the manufacturer in some cases. Used pieces, including mixers, come with a 90-day parts & labor warranty. Maximum coverage limitations apply. Call our sales team for details. We do not offer extended warranties on used equipment.
Do you buy used equipment?
Sometimes. If you have a piece of used equipment that you’d like to get rid of, or if your restaurant is closing and you have a large load of equipment that needs to be removed, let us know! Send a description of the item(s) with pictures to info@wmfoodequip.com.
Do you offer trade-in credit?
Sometimes. If you have a high-value piece of equipment that you’d like us to take off your hands, feel free to ask us about trade-in credit if you’re buying something from us.
Do you handle plumbing installation?
No, we do not.
Can you show me how to use or clean a piece of new equipment?
We’ll show you how to turn on your equipment and ensure it’s working properly, but for general use or cleaning instructions you’re better off consulting the manual or training materials provided by the manufacturer.
Do you have a test kitchen?
No, we do not. Maybe sometime in the future, though!
Can I see a demo of a piece of equipment before buying it?
Sometimes. If we show a demo, we still have to clean the equipment afterwards, which can take hours. If you’re buying a piece of equipment and just want to test it before taking it out of the warehouse, then a demo is fine. Otherwise, it’s a case-by-case basis.
